Emerging with hope through the difficult seasons of life.

This has been my story, my journey through the wilderness and stuck places for the last 10 years. As I became more aware of myself, I sought the Lord more deeply, realizing that He ultimately held the key for my healing and restoration. The answer of “identity” was foundational. That is one of the ways that the Enneagram has helped me. My journey through discovering who I am, how I show up in the world, using the Enneagram has helped to reveal so much about my relationship with God, my relationship with others and my relationship with myself.

Eight years ago I ventured into the world of seminary where I studied and received my Master of Divinity, taking every elective on soul care or spiritual formation that they offered. After graduation, still feeling lost, in 2020, I began studying for my MA in Pastoral Counseling, which I will finish in December 2023. Throughout, I was drawn to the idea of coaching and using the Enneagram as a tool to help people understand their motivations, childhood messages and how they interact and show up in life. So, I took the Become an Enneagram Coach course and became a Certified Enneagram Coach, as well as Enneagram Internal Profile endorsed. I am also certified as a Professional Life Coach through Light University.

I have been through my own emerging with hope season as I have walked through many difficulties. My youngest was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2021 and then had spinal fusion surgery in 2022. My marriage was always very rocky, which recently ended with divorce. Only recently did we understand that he struggled with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Romans 5:1-5 reminds us that we can glory in suffering…not an easy thing to do apart from Christ. But we are told of our position as justified, at peace with God, standing in His grace as the foundation of HOW we can glory in suffering, which will work in us perseverance, character, and then hope. It is my hope that I can come alongside others as they are walking the wilderness path, or in the gray zone of life, to find that they too can emerge with hope.

I formed Emerge Coaching LLC in 2023 to provide a safe place for you to know God’s love, discover who you are, and to experience that transformation that God desires for you. May you EMERGE from this season with hope.
