I was introduced to the Enneagram in 2017 and the more I learned about it, the more I wanted to know. I eventually landed on my type when I read the wounding message my type heard which is, “Your presence doesn’t matter.” I came to a full stop when I read this because someone had put into words what I had always felt but could never express. That’s when I realized that the Enneagram is different from most of the personality identifying systems out there.

My family members have identified their numbers and having this information gives me such insight into how they view the world and the motivations and intentions behind what they do. I feel like I have the tools to relate to them and love them better. I wish I had known about the Enneagram when my kids were younger. How would my parenting have been been different/better with this knowledge? I am a 9 married to a 3. We have four adult children; a 2, a 1 and couple of 6s.

After a close friend suggested I consider becoming a coach, an opportunity to register for a class to become trained and certified presented itself and I took it. What made this certification program most appealing to me is that it weaves the truth of the Gospel into its teaching, reminding us of who we are in Christ and the promises of God. True and lasting transformation cannot happen apart from the Holy Spirit. I am passionate about helping others learn about themselves and I’m excited about what I will learn from you as we embark on this adventure.
