About

I am passionate about listening to your stories, moms and sisters. I help you understand Yourself, Your Motives, and Your Relationships to bring you more Peace in your circumstances, Joy in your gifts, and Excitement for your future opportunities.

Think of a small girl who always wondered. I wondered, ‘Why do I do what I do?’ I asked ‘why’ about everything all of my life. As an adult, I studied many personality typing systems to answer my questions and they each filled in a few puzzle pieces. When I learned about the Enneagram, I became fascinated with it because it answered so many questions I had, and helped me understand myself and others with more compassion. The enneagram has helped me relate to others more easily and dismantle my limiting beliefs about myself, others, and even God! I would love to share the joy in beginning to help you find God’s plan for you and your relationships!

In my twenties I spent two years in Africa with a missionary family. Later I taught in our church’s private schools in both Manitoba and Tennessee. I really enjoyed learning new concepts and then making them simple for others to understand.

I married a wonderful man and soon became a mom to our son and daughter who are currently in first and second grade. Now I drive my children to school, keep track of expenses for the trucking business, cook for my family, launder their clothes, and keep the house somewhat tidy.

Struggling with poor health when my children were small has given me compassion for overwhelmed moms with young children. I was diagnosed with endometriosis before the children were born and feel really blessed to have them. I have dealt with a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis and been treated for Lyme disease.

I use all the cracks of time I can find to study the enneagram and practice my writing skills. Sewing, embroidery, and setting puzzles are some of my hobbies. As a family we love spending time at the river or in the woods. We love to travel and have visited Africa and Central America. But my very favorite thing to do is to read while swinging in my hammock!

REVIEWS

Before I took enneagram group coaching with Michelle I felt a little bit uncertain because it was something new and I was asked to share things I hadn’t talked much about and a little bit excited because I did want to know more about the Enneagram. I expected the chance to get opinions and ideas from more than one person and this expectation was fulfilled. It helped me become more self aware in the ways I reacted to other people and also learning to know my thought process and why I think the way I do. It also has helped me to understand how others might be thinking and why they respond to situations differently than I do. It has helped me to have more compassion because I have realized there’s so many ways different to show love. One ‘aha’ moment I had was when I read about how my number and my husband’s number got along in a relationship, it was almost unnerving because it was so much ‘us.’ I would recommend Michelle to be your coach because I have enjoyed learning about it from her as her Christian values are the same as mine. She is always interested in learning more and if I have a tidbit of info that’s new to her, she doesn’t try to be more knowledgeable than the rest of us even if she probably does know more.

I knew enough about the enneagram to realize that I would benefit from understanding and applying it to my life.  I also realized that I was confused enough to need guidance.  When I realized that there were coaches out there to help with that confusion, I was eager to get started with my own coach.  I have always been self-aware, and coaching helped me learn what to be aware of.  It gave me a language to communicate my inner world, and gave me a friend to share that inner world with.  I feel like I’m more aware of the many “realities” that other people experience as well. One “aha” moment I had was when I realized that I was “giving with strings attached.”  I was able to look back at some of my disappointments with people and realize that my hurt feelings came from unreciprocated favors.  I have also learned to ask myself, “Is it mine to do?” before offering to help others.  One “aha” moment I had was when I realized that I was “giving with strings attached.”  I was able to look back at some of my disappointments with people and realize that my hurt feelings came from unreciprocated favors.  I have also learned to ask myself, “Is it mine to do?” before offering to help others.  I definitely recommend enneagram coaching with Michelle!  It was a good investment with many returns!
