Enneagram and Transition Coaching – A Trusted Guide Through the Wilderness of Life Changing Events!
I grew up on a small farm in Northwest Alabama, graduated from the University of Alabama, was married 38 years, and have two adult children. I moved away from Alabama at the age of 30 and returned recently in 2016. During my 40-year career as a Civilian Manager with the U.S. Army, I led numerous diverse and multi-cultural global teams throughout the world. I have lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, New Mexico, Japan, Florida, Virginia, Minnesota, Iraq, and North Dakota…and I currently live in Hoover, AL.
Pursuing my interest & passion in personality type and life transitions, I completed training and received certification as a Myers-Briggs MBTI® administrator while in Minnesota where I co-authored a book for the Myers-Briggs Company entitled “Introduction to Type and Reintegration – A Framework for Managing the Transition Home”.
Since my move back to Alabama, I have completed certifications as an Enneagram Coach (02 August 2019), a Retirement Options Coach, and a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitator. I currently lead an Enneagram Small Group for my church, serve as a DivorceCare Facilitator, and am a board member of Wildstream Retreat in Monteagle, Tennessee. My Myers-Briggs Step II preferences are for INFP (Experiential). The Enneagram Core Type that I most identify with is the Type 9 Peacemaker. I love God and people, and I have a passion to help reveal the riches that God has placed within each person, as we are created in His image.
Reviews:
“Jim’s teaching on the Enneagram in our church’s small group was a revelation for my girlfriend and I! We had never heard of the Enneagram before despite both having Ph.D.s, years of experience, and familiarity with a wide array of personality assessments specializing in Organizational Development (OD) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Jim’s clear and informative teaching style really brought the Enneagram to life for us. If you get the opportunity to learn from Jim about the enneagram, do so, you won’t be sorry!”

“I was very pleased with the way Jim interacted with the group and interjected his own personal knowledge along with videos and information from Enneagram authors and speakers. Jim also provided examples of how each Enneagram crossed each other in stances and how one number worked with another number. At the end of the sessions I was more knowledgeable and was able to apply what I had learned into my own life. I was very happy to have been part of Jim’s small group and enjoyed the way he presented to include everyone in the group. I would highly recommend Jim Peak!”

“Being who I am, I tend to be critical (mentally) of the processes of how other people live and work. Many are disorganized, scatter brained, totally unprepared and generally frustrating to live or work with. In Jim’s Enneagram class I had many ‘Ah Ha’ moments. I realized that not only was I sometimes “merciless”…I was judging God’s creation that He created to be who they are with different personality styles and different gifts. The class certainly brought a much greater understanding of the “why” people respond like they do.”

“Jim’s instruction and knowledge about the Enneagram has been very helpful for me; I participated in his small group, and I learned so much about the Enneagram and how it relates to me and my family and my circle. I love how he always approached it from the Christian perspective, and spoke of healthy and unhealthy ways our numbers can act. I use the information he shared with me every day in dealing with my family and friends, and also in my job as a chiropractor, because people act the way they do because of how God formed us, and we’ve all been on the unhealthy side before. That gives me more compassion when people don’t act the way I think they should. I really enjoyed Jim’s teaching style, and his knowledge was put to great use.”
