A whole person approach.
I started a wellness journey after our eldest daughter became unexplainably ill just weeks after getting married. We could find no reason for her pain, seizures, passing out and no help in the medical world. I left our three youngest children to continue homeschooling with a little help from Dad.
My husband and I are highschool sweethearts with six children, three married and grown and three at home. We pastor two churches in neighboring towns with the Free Methodist denomination, run a jiujitsu studio in the evenings and have a hobby farm that we also enjoy.
With that much on our plate it was the grace of God alone that sustained us as I moved to Arizona to care for my newly married, newly disabled, daughter. After a few months we found a clinic that treats symptoms like hers with a myriad of holistic therapies. God provided the funds through many sources and we saw healing happen in just a few weeks. Months of therapy later she was ready to go home. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome was the beginning of a life changing journey. Several of our other children are showing symptoms of this condition but we are learning how to help our bodies heal through nutrition, supplements, relaxation and ….. the Enneagram.
Through our healing journey we realized that stress is toxic. All the wellness we can achieve through exercise, nutrition and supplements can be undone when our inner world is chaotic and our relationships crumbling.
Understanding the Enneagram saved my marriage. We have been married 26 years, have 6 children and 4 grandchildren. I felt alone and misunderstood, until I started to understand myself. God used the wisdom of the Enneagram to uproot self-limiting beliefs and thought patterns that were sabotaging my relationships.
Our whole family and many of our friends started diving into the complex waters of Enneagram study. As a nurturing type, I could think of no better way to help people than to become a certified coach. After completing training this fall, I am now equipped to guide people through personal transformation by understanding the wisdom of the Enneagram and the deep truths in Scripture.
