As the biological parent of four grown children, one of whom is on the autism spectrum, grandmother to five teenagers, trained therapeutic foster parent to over 20 children, mostly teens with mental health diagnoses, and adoptive parent to three children with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities, I have
38 years of real-world parenting and co-parenting experience in all types of
typical and atypical situations. I became a certified Life Coach, specializing in Youth, Parent, and Family coaching in 2012. In 2022, I became a board-certified Christian Mental Health Coach through Light University. I have coached over 150 people with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety and relationship/family issues since July of 2022. I am a member of the American
Association of Christian Counselors and the International Christian Coaching Association.
